China UnionPay launched a special project to unite resources from different stakeholders in payment industry to work together on the improvement of acceptance environment to chip card, QR code and NFC handset. Major cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Chengdu also released its roadmap for local payment improvement.
