With the rapid development of the internet and communications, the combination of the Internet of Things （IoT） and payment applications has opened up new development for the payment industry. As the entrance to the IoT and payment, IoT application equipment is an important part of payment security. To prevent voice broadcasting equipment from being attacked by man-in-the-middle during data transmission, and to ensure information security of IoT payment scenarios and payment functions, UnionPay issued the certification on payment-related IoT application equipment on July 24, 2020.

As an authorized laboratory by UnionPay, BCTC relies on its self-built IoT security laboratory to provide Security Evaluation services for UnionPay Payment Information Broadcasting Device to protect the security of IoT payments. Testing items mainly include equipment security requirements and equipment technical requirements.

From now on, companies can apply for certification on the UnionPay Certification official website (https://cert.unionpay.com). After the certification application is approved, please contact BCTC for testing.
