In recent years, with the continuous advancement of Internet technology and the gradual popularization of mobile services, most institutions have launched their mobile APPs. The services of mobile APPs are consistent with traditional web pages or offline business but have more innovative functions. The frequency of use of the mobile APP and the number of users is increasing. However, for some special groups, such as the elderly and the physically disabled (eg. visually impaired), it is inconvenient to use most mobile APPs at present. The barriers of use include: the language and text types are not rich enough, the screen display and font design are not readable, the function module design is too complicated, and customer service is relatively single-group-oriented.
To help APP operators play the active role of App in serving people with disabilities, BCTC joined forces with experts in the field of information accessibility to launch mobile financial APP barrier-free testing services and accessibility optimization consulting services.
1. The Barrier-free test is split into three levels, level 1, level 2, and level 3.
2. Test items include four layers: perceptibility, operability, comprehensibility, and compatibility.
3. Tests adopt technical evaluation, simulation of barrier groups, and other methods to confirm whether the Internet content accessibility technology to meet the usage requirements of disabled groups.
4. Optimization suggestions include code development, functional design, business processes, etc., to overcome the difficulties encountered by disabled groups in the use of intelligent technology and allow disabled groups to share the results of information development.
